The Mass for Johnny McEnroe and Johnny Smith, brother of Bridie Hyland, which was scheduled for last Tue. will now be celebrated on next Tue. evening 14th Feb. at 7.30pm

Combined Meeting

There will be a meeting of the combined committees of Denn Parish Pastoral Council, Crosskeys Church Finance Committee & Drumavaddy Church Finance Committee on next Tue. night 14th February at 8.30pm in the Community Centre in Drumavaddy.  All members of each committee are asked to please attend.

History Talk

A history talk entitled Photographs and History of Cavan Town will be given by Fr Liam  in the Johnson Library Cavan on next Tue. week 21st Feb. at 7pm.  All are welcome

Age & Opportunity

There will be a Social Evening on next Wed. evening from 6 to 8pm in the Resource Centre, Crosskeys.  The usual buses will travel.

Basketball

Please note that there will be no Basketball on this Tue. evening 14th February.  Basketball will resume on Tue. 21st Feb. at the usual times.

Denn GFC

The monthly meeting will take place in the Clubrooms on Fri. 17th Feb. at 9pm. The Blotto numbers drawn this week were 6,17, 19 & 20.   There was no Jackpot winner. The €25 winners were Denn Development, Mary Kiernan, Phelim Galligan, Edwin Donohoe & Anna Donohoe.   The next draw will be on Mon. 13th Feb. in The Carraig Springs The Jackpot is €1,700.

Eucharistic Adoration Speaker

We welcome John Howard from Navan to the parish this weekend. He  will speak about Eucharistic Adoration at all the Masses.  John does great work throughout the country encouraging people to pray and to commit to Eucharistic adoration.

Confirmation & Communion

Enrolment for Confirmation will take place on next Sun. 19th Feb. at the 11am Mass in Crosskeys. Please note that enrolment for First Communion has been brought forward one week to the 11am Mass in Crosskeys on Sun. 26th February.

Parish Liturgy Group

The recently formed Parish Liturgy Group will have a meeting in the sacristy at Crosskeys Church on this Mon. night 13th Feb. at 8pm.

Congratulations

To the Crosskeys N.S. Senior Quiq team who recently won the Ballyjamesduff Credit Union Quiz competition. The team was Conor Cahill, Cian Hyland, Reidín McCabe and Christopher O’ Connell.  Congratulations to all and best of luck in the regional final.

The Famine Aid Collection

Which was held recently in the parish amounted to €343-27.  Thanks to all.

Crossroads Youth Congress

A History Lecture

Called Elizabeth 1st and the Earl of Leicester: a Tudor Love Story will be given by Dr Brendan Scott in the County Museum in Ballyjamesduff at 8pm on Wed. 15th February.

Red or Black

Denn GFC will host the TV game show Red or Black in the Farnham Hotel, Cavan on 16th Feb. It will be hosted by Northern Sound’s Seán McCaffrey and promises to be a great night’s entertainment. All proceeds will go to the development of new pitch, gym & changing facilities at St Matthew’s Park, Crosskeys. Tickets are now available by contacting 086-3859897. The launch will take place in Crosskeys Inn on Sat 11th Feb.
