Slieve Glah Drama Group

The Slieve Glah Drama Group will stage the hilariously funny comedy Caught on the Hop by Derek Benfield in the Drumavaddy Community Centre on next Fri 20th and Sat 21^st January starting at 8.30pm. Adults €10 and children €5. All proceeds to local charities as usual. Please support and have a laugh.

History Talk

Fr Liam hopes to give a history talk on The ancient History of Denn in Drumavaddy Community Centre on Thursday week 26^th Jan. at 8pm. All are welcome.

The Blotto numbers drawn this week were 3, 23, 24 & 27. There was no Jackpot winner. The €25 winners were Sharon McCaul, The Sheehan family, Ivan Heaslip, Charles & Linda McSherry, Caroline & Seamus Donohoe. The next draw will be on Mon. 16^th Jan. in The Carraig Springs. The Jackpot is €1,500.

The 50^th International Eucharistic Congress takes place in Dublin from June 10^th to 15^th this year. It is hoped that Tues 12^th June will be a day when people from all over the diocese of Kilmore will attend. The only other Eucharistic Congress held in Ireland was in 1932. It is hoped that during these months of preparation we come to a greater appreciation of the Mass and its centrality to our faith.

Denn GFC Juvenile AGM

Will be held in the Clubrooms, Crosskeys, on next Fri 20^th Jan. at 9pm. It is important that there is a good turn out at this Annual General Meeting.

International Eucharistic Congress

This Sunday we will light special Eucharistic Congress candles in both Churches in the parish in prayerful preparation for the Eucharistic Congress which takes place in June.

History Talk

Fr Liam hopes to give a history talk on Photographs and Local History on this Mon., 16^th January in the Resource Centre, Crosskeys at 8pm. All are welcome.

Get In Shape for 2012

A 10 week aerobics course starts on this Mon. 16^th Jan. in the Realtóg Centre, Kilnaleck. There is a choice of course – one from 7 to 8.pm or the other from 8.15 to 9.15pm. The total cost for ten weeks is €75. To book or for information ring 049-4336070.

Age & Opportunity

Will have a Social Evening on next Wed. evening 18^th Jan. from 6 to 8pm in the Resource Centre, Crosskeys, The usual buses will travel. A chiropodist will attend.

Denn Camogie Club

Training will resume on Tue. evening at 7pm for all U-14, U-16, U-18 & Junior team. we hope to enter a Junior team this year so we want players of all ages to come. The AGM will take place on Fri.20^th Jan. at 8pm in the Clubrooms. Parents & player please attend.
