Blessing of Graves in Drumavaddy

Will take place on next Sun. 5th Aug. after 12noon Mass. If weather permits Mass will be held in the cemetery under the road. If it is very wet Mass will be in the Community Centre. Please note that each family is asked to bring a small bottle of Holy Water with them to bless their own family plot.

Recent Deqths

You are asked to please pray for Mary Ellen McKinney (nee Cahill) formerly of Ardkill who died in Dublin on Sunday last. Also for Mary Rose Smith, Ballinagh & Nellie Harding, Cavan who died during the past week.  May they rest in peace.

Festival of the Hills

Starts on next Fri. evening.  Leaflets with details of all the weekend events will be distributed after Mass this evening. You are asked to please come out and support all events – it promises to be a great and enjoyable weekend – so come out and take part!

Drumavaddy Social & Dev. Association

Will have an important meeting on this Mon. night at 8pm in the Community Centre. Please note the earlier time for this meeting.

Tank Skittles Club

Is going to sponsor a seat in the chapel in memory of the late Philip Clarke, Ardkill who was a member of the Club. To do so we are having a Ring Throwing this Sun. evening in the Tank at 6.30pm. Later on we will have a Raffle for a Bicycle and a Walk on Sep.2nd.

Denn GFC

The Blotto draw took place on Mon. 23rd July. The numbers drawn were 12, 21, 22 & 30. There was no Jackpot winner. The weekly winners of €25 were Hugh McSherry, Raymond Smith, Thomas & Emer Smith, Darren Hewitt & John Smith.  The Jackpot is now €2,900 The next draw is on Monday  30th  July in the Carraig Springs.

First Friday

Next Friday is the first Friday of the month.  Fr Liam hopes to be bringing Communion at the usual times on that day.  Please note the Masses for the 1st Fri on Thurs at 8pm in Drumavaddy and in Crosskeys at 9.3am on Friday.

Word of Thanks

Diocesan Pilgrimage to Knock

The Kilmore diocesan pilgrimage to Knock takes place on this Sunday The Bus will leave Crosskeys at 8am, the Tank at 8.15am and Drumcrow Cross at 8.30am

PAYE Tax Relief

If you are a PAYE tax payer and have received a form from the parish you are asked to please fill it in during this coming week and return it to Fr Liam Kelly. By doing this you are helping your local church considerably and it costs you nothing to do so.

Denn Camogie Club
