Wedding Bells

Congratulations to Aine Gaffney, Denmore and Robbie Kane, Killinkere, who were married in St Matthew’s Church, Drumavaddy on Saturday last. We wish them many years of health and happiness and every blessing on the marriage.

House Masses During Lent

As preparation for the Eucharistic Congress next year there will be a house Mass at 7.30pm  on the Thursday evenings during Lent. There will be a house Mass in the home of James Gerard & Stephanie Donohoe, Largon Thur. 7th April  at 7.30pm.

Golden Wedding

Congratulations to Jimmy and Anna Cahill, Cornaseer, who celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary this weekend.  We wish them many more years of health and happiness.

Monthly Defibrillator Training

Will take place on Tue night next 5th April at 8.30pm in the Community Centre. All trained members please attend.  New members are welcome.

Slieve Glah Drama

If you have not already seen Rumours  it is on again  on Sat. 2nd April in Scotshouse and on Fri. 8th April in Ballinagh. Curtain up at 8.30pm sharp.

Kilnacrott Annual Novena

Is on each Tuesday and ends on Tue. 17th May.  Rosary at 7.30pm, Novena prayers at 7.45pm and Mass and Benediction at 8pm.  All are welcome.

Denn Gaelic Football Club

The Blotto Draw took place in the Crosskeys Inn  on Mon.28th  March.  The winning numbers were 9, 16, 17 & 23.  There was no jackpot winner. The weekly winners were   Mary Kate Lynch, Ita Tierney, Margaret Donohoe, Jim Sherry & Pauric McBreen. The next draw will be on Mon. 4th April in The Carraig Springs.

Mothers Day

Today  we thank God for all mothers who make so many sacrifices and give of their time, love and care.  We ask God’s blessing on all mothers on this Mothers Day.

Mass on Wednesdays

There will be an early Mass at 7.30am in Crosskeys Church each Wednesday morning during Lent. This early Mass is to facilitate people who are going to work.

Mass on Saturday

There will be a memorial Mass for John Tighe on next Saturday 9th April at 10am. This Mass has been requested by the Church Finance Committee and the Board of Management of Crosskeys National School.

Scrap Metal Collection For Parish of Dennn

There will be Scrap Metal Collection in the parish on the Saturday after Easter, that is Saturday 30th April.  By collecting the scrap metal we will be helping the environment and also raising funds for Drumavaddy and Crosskeys Church funds.  The metal will be collected in two centres, at the Community Centre in Drumavaddy and in the village of Crosskeys.  So we ask people to bring their scrap metal to one or other of these centres on that day.  We will have more information for you on next weekend.

Crosskeys Village

It is hoped to tidy up the village of Crosskeys and enter it into the Tidy Towns competition. There will be meeting of all who are interested in the appearance of the village in the Resource Centre, Crosskeys, on Thursday week, 14th April at 9pm.  All are welcome to attend. Denn GFC Pitch Development

Will have a meeting on Friday next 8th April at 9.30pm in the clubrooms.

Cavan Alzheimer’s Support Group

Has been formed to help families who have someone with Alzheimers. The group meet on the first Thur of each month in the Farnham Hotel at 8pm. Next meeting is on Thur. 7th April. For further inquiries ring Carole 087-2240963 or Clare 087-9002603.

You may support local industry and jobs by signing a petition sheet at the back of the church after Mass in support of a deal to keep the Quinn Insurance co. in business.
