Drumavaddy Festival of the Hills

  The Festival got off to a great start on Friday night and continued all day today

  (Saturday)  It continues tonight with Dancing at Denn  Cross (10pm). On

  tomorrow, Sunday there is Mass & Blessing of Graves at 12noon, Family Fun &

  Sports Day in Pat Morgan’s field (2.30pm), Manie’s Ramblin House (3 to 6pm),

  Comhaltas Seisiún (8pm) & Barn Dance (11pm) in Pat Morgan’s Barn. And on

  Monday Picnic in the Park (3 to 5.30pm).  There is a full programme of events

  so come out and enjoy the August Bank Holiday weekend with us.

 

Blessing of Graves

Will take place tomorrow Sunday 31st July with Mass at 12noon.  Please note that there will be no 9.30am Mass on tomorrow morning.  Weather permitting Mass will take place in the cemetery.  If the weather is bad Mass will take place in the Church with the blessing of the graves immediately afterwards.

Denn GFC

Denn play Drumalee on this Sunday 31st  July at 6pm in Breifne Park. Please come out and support the local lads.  The Blotto draw took place in the Carraigh Springs on Mon. 25th  July. The numbers drawn were 5, 13, 24 & 29.   There was no jackpot winner. The weekly winners of €30 were Eadoin Soroghan, Adrian Smith, Conor & Daniel Mooney, Crosskeys NS & Mark Fegan.  The next draw will be in The Carraig Springs  on Mon. 1s Aug. in the Den.   The Jackpot is now €1,700

Clonmacnois Catholic Youth Festival

Takes place in Clonmacnois Co. Offaly from 4th to 7th August.  It is festival of music, games, prayer, talks etc for 16 to 35 year olds. To book visit www.youth2000.ie

Irish Dancing Introductory Workshop

Learn Irish step and modern dancing in the Riverdance style. It will be fun and a new way of keeping fit. It will take place in the Resource Centre, Crosskeys on Tue. 9th, Wed.10th & Thur 11th August.  Children from 7.30pm costs €15 for all three days.  Adults 9pm to 10.30pm costs €20 for all three days.

Denn Camogie Club

Training for all U-14, U-16 & U-18 players each Tue and Thurs evenings at 6pm. The U-18 championship will be starting shortly.  New players welcome.
